News From Passport Canada

CASTLEGAR – MP Alex Atamanenko MP (BC Southern Interior) offers his congratulations to Ron Cannan, MP, (Kelowna Lake Country), for his successful efforts in bringing one of the few new Passport Canada offices to Kelowna. The new office will be located at 110-1835 Gordon Drive, Kelowna – also known as the Capri Centre. The expected date of occupancy is March 1, 2010.

“Although I will continue to work toward bringing the full range of passport services to this riding, it will be much easier for people to obtain these services closer to home,” said Atamanenko. “This is a vast improvement over the existing situation and I wish to offer my thanks to Mr. Cannan for his work in this area.”

He is also pleased to note that passport clinics will once again be held in his Riding of BC Southern Interior. They will be hosted by Passport Canada, which has organized them on a first-come, first-served basis.

Passport Canada`s Mobile Passport Unit will be in Osoyoos on May 13th, Trail May 14th and Castlegar May 15th. Hours will be 12:00 noon – 8 :00 p.m. On June 1st, the U.S. will require all Canadians to present a valid passport to enter the United States by water or land.
